Flat fees for cars and pickups
- Cars: $4.25 per load

- Christmas trees: $3 per load for up to 5 trees (closed-toe shoes required)
Flat fees don't apply to modified vehicles, including pickups with added sidewalls.
Per-ton loads and the deposit
Vehicles larger than a passenger vehicle, and anything towing a trailer, pay $63.57 per ton. That includes box trucks, pickups with sidewall modifications, and pickups with trailers or dump trailers. Non-account customers pay a deposit of 35% of the vehicle's total loaded weight priced by the ton, then the final fee for what was dumped after reweighing. The county's own example is a 5-ton loaded vehicle that leaves 1.5 tons: a $111.24 card hold and a $95.35 final charge. Skip the reweigh and the full deposit is charged. Out-of-county waste pays an extra $63.57 per ton. Try the dump fee calculator, and read how tare weight changes what you pay.
Tires (fall 2026 window)
Normally, loads with five or more tires pay $210 per ton. To fight dengue fever, the county is waiving the residential tire fee from September 28 to October 30, 2026. You need to be a Pinellas resident with a driver's license, bring tires as a separate load, and bring no more than four per load. No business tires. PPE kits are sold on site for $22.50 if you need one.
