Orange County Landfill (Orlando): Fees, Hours and Transfer Stations

Orange County Utilities runs the county landfill east of Orlando and two transfer stations closer in. Self-haul pricing is by weight with a low minimum.

Sites and hours (non-account customers)

From the county's Orange County landfill and transfer stations page:

  • Orange County Landfill, 5901 Young Pine Road, Orlando 32829: Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Household hazardous waste is accepted during the same hours.
  • Porter Transfer Station, 1326 Good Homes Road, Orlando 32818: Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Yard waste on Saturdays only.
  • McLeod Road Transfer Station, 5000 L.B. McLeod Road: Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Yard waste on Saturdays only.

All three are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hotline: (407) 836-6601.

Checked October 2026. Hours, fees, residency rules and accepted items change, sometimes with little notice. Call the site or check its official page before you load up.

Fees (effective October 1, 2026)

  • Minimum charge: $10
  • Class I garbage: $56.40 per ton at all three sites
  • Class III C&D (clean fill, concrete, wood, furniture and similar): $42.70 per ton, landfill only
  • Yard waste: $48.70 per ton at the landfill. At transfer stations it's charged at the $56.40 garbage rate.
  • Passenger tires (up to 8): $3 each at the landfill and Porter
  • Bulk tire loads: $249 per ton
  • Asbestos: $185 per ton, landfill only, by appointment

Mixed loads pay the higher rate, and uncovered loads pay double. The county takes check, cash and major credit cards. If you leave without weighing out, the fee is set to your deposit. Estimate with the dump fee calculator.

Small vehicle area

At the landfill, only vehicle and trailer combinations under 30 feet can use the small vehicle drop-off area, and you unload by hand. Longer rigs are sent to the working face. See what to expect on your first dump run.

Tips

  • Take remodel debris straight to the landfill. The transfer stations don't take C&D.
  • Separating furniture and C&D from garbage at the landfill gets you the lower Class III rate.
  • Cover the load. See tarping an open bed.
