Public rates (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027)

From the OC Waste & Recycling fee page:

  • Cars, minivans, SUVs, loads under 360 pounds: $15
  • Pickups, utility vans and cargo vans, loads under 880 pounds: $30
  • Over 880 pounds: $92.70 per ton, or $107.70 per ton with hard-to-handle materials
  • Items longer than 6 feet (wood, furniture, mattresses): $15 extra each
  • Untested soil: full disposal rate. Clean soil: $4 per ton (certification over 5 cubic yards or 8 tons).

Clean, broken asphalt is free Monday through Saturday at both landfills. The sites take cash, check (two checks for weigh-backs, no P.O. boxes), Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. No Venmo. Estimate with the dump fee calculator.

Proof of origin

The landfills only accept waste from Orange County. Bring a driver's license with an Orange County address, a current utility bill for the address the waste came from, or a contract showing that address. Prima Deshecha also has a free household hazardous waste collection center and accepts treated wood waste. Olinda doesn't take treated wood.

Tips

  • Cut long boards and break down furniture to under 6 feet. That avoids $15 per item.
  • A full pickup of heavy debris can top 880 pounds and switch you to per-ton billing. See why a cubic yard is not a ton.
