Chesterfield County Convenience Centers: 2026 Fees

Chesterfield County residents take trash, brush and remodel debris to two convenience centers, one in Midlothian and one in Chester. Here's what the July 2026 fee schedule charges.

Locations and hours

Per the county's Convenience Centers page:

  • Northern Area Convenience Center, 3200 Warbro Road, Midlothian
  • Southern Area Convenience Center, 6700 Landfill Drive, Chester

Both are open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Holiday closures for the rest of 2026 are Veterans Day (Nov. 11), Thanksgiving and the day after (Nov. 26 and 27), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and noon on New Year's Eve. Be ready to show ID or proof of county residency. If you can't unload, ask the attendant for help.

Checked October 2026. Hours, fees, residency rules and accepted items change, sometimes with little notice. Call the site or check its official page before you load up.

Combine mattresses or a mower with a trash load to skip the item fee. See also a first trip to a convenience center.

Hauling it yourself? If the load won’t fit in the truck bed, a 6×10 ft open-rail utility trailer or a 4×8 ft folding trailer (it folds upright to store in a garage) can cost less than a couple of hauler trips. Tie everything down with ratchet tie-down straps; many sites charge extra for loose or uncovered loads.
