You need a permit to drop off household trash. Each permit comes with a punch card with 100 punches. One punch covers one 36-gallon bag, or three 13-gallon kitchen bags.

Permits run from May 1 through April 30. You can buy one at the transfer station any time of year. To get the resident price you'll need proof that you live in or own property in the town; bring your driver's license, plus paperwork if you're claiming the SSD or DAV rate. Out-of-town residents can buy the non-resident permit.
