Locations and hours
- Metairie Drop-Off Site: 400 David Drive, Metairie, LA 70003 (East Bank)
- Marrero Drop-Off Site: 6440 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA 70072 (West Bank)
The parish lists hours for all drop-off sites as Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., except observed holidays. Its other two sites are Meadowbrook (484 Wall Blvd., Gretna) and Lafitte (Treasure Street, Jean Lafitte). (Jefferson Parish Drop-Off Sites page)
Who can use them, and fees
The sites are a free, self-service option for residents who receive parish curbside garbage collection in unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte. Bring a driver's license or water bill to verify your residence. Residents of unincorporated areas are limited to two visits a day, and you unload your own debris into the roll-off containers.
Contractors, commercial users and residents of the parish's municipalities (Kenner, Gretna, Westwego, Harahan and Grand Isle) pay $14 per pickup truck or $20 per trailer. Payment is by credit or debit card only, since cash isn't accepted. Municipal loads go in the containers labeled for them. (Jefferson Parish Drop-Off Sites page)
Prices checked October 2026. Fees change, often at the start of a fiscal year, and the scale house has the final word. Call ahead before you load up.
Trailer and truck limits
- Single-axle trailers 10 feet or shorter are allowed, not counting the tongue. Common sizes like 4x8, 5x8, 5x10 and 6x10 are fine.
- Dump trailers aren't allowed at any parish drop-off site.
- Rented box trucks (U-Haul, Penske, Home Depot and similar) are sent to an area landfill.
- Staff may send any load to a permitted landfill based on space, vehicle size or material.
What the Metairie and Marrero sites accept

- Waste tires, five per resident per day
- Automotive fluids, five gallons per resident per day, and two oil filters
- E-waste, including computers, laptops, phones, printers, LCD monitors and TVs, but no CRT TVs or monitors

Commercial users can't drop off tires, auto fluids, e-waste, batteries or cooking oil. Light bulbs, CRTs, media, copiers, ink cartridges and stereo equipment aren't accepted at any site. (Jefferson Parish Drop-Off Sites page)
